Tips for Successful Holiday Packing - Prescription Sunglasses

Don't foget your prescription sunglasses when you pack your suitcases this summer to jet off to hotter climates.

Some people absolutely love packing their clothes and cosmetics up, but some absolutely hate it. There's nearly always something that's forgotten at the last minute and that you think you'd packed, normally something vital that makes life difficult to live without, like your contact lenses or your prescription sunglasses. A good way to try and avoid this problem is to start by making a written list of everything you're likely to need on holiday, and check off each item as it is packed in your case.

Packing Properly - Protect your Prescription sunglasses

Do you always find that your suitcase is overflowing before you've even finished packing your clothes? Never mind finding a space for shoes, accessories and your sponge bag, you'll burst the zip if you try to close a case with too much in it.

Basically some handy tips for perfect packing are:

- Roll up socks and insert the balls inside shoes, also leave packing socks until the very last as they are the easiest item to fit into the corners.

- Don't coil up belts wrap them around the inside of the suitcase instead to keep them straight.

- Roll up as many of your clothes as possible this saves on creases when you unpack at the resort.

- Roll up shirts from the bottom where the creases will be hidden as they're tucked into trousers.

- Be ruthless - you don't really need 10 summer dresses for a week's holiday.

- Shoes can be packed at the bottom of the suitcase.

- Shoes can be packed at the bottom of the suitcase at the wheel end to stop them sliding about and crushing other clothes.

Correct packing will mean that you only need to take one compact bag as hand luggage onto the plane too, leaving more room for delicate and important items like your prescription sunglasses. Take a spare pair of prescription sunglasses with you on holiday just in case you lose or break them. Lost luggage does happen so keep a pair in your handbag while travelling.
